HOUSTON -- KHOU 11 is proud to join Wreaths Across America Houston to help honor the brave men and women who have fought for our country.

For the fifth year, Wreaths Across America Houston is raising funds with the goal of placing a live wreath at each gravesite in Houston National Cemetery. Each $15 donation equals one wreath that will be placed during a special ceremony on Saturday, December 15, 2012.

The annual wreath laying ceremony started at Arlington National Cemetery in 1992 and is now performed around the country.  The Houston ceremony has grown each year since it started - with over 14,000 wreaths in 2008, 22,000 in 2009, 26,000 in 2010 and 32,000 in 2011.

Each year the organization takes giant strides as they honor our fallen heroes. You can help.
