HOUSTON -- A heart attack survivor is saying thank you to the emergency crew who helped save his life.
The emotional reunion happened Friday at Houston Fire Station 59 located in the southwest part of the city.
Last November, 51-year-old Durwyn Williams complained of chest pains. As paramedics were checking on him, he suddenly lost his pulse.
Williams had to be shocked 14 times.
Ten days later he walked out of the hospital a healthy man.
During Friday’s reunion, Williams said, “These guys are instruments of God.”
Williams said he’s especially grateful that he got to celebrate the holidays with his family.
