HOUSTON – Facebook could finally be getting a button other than “like.” Also, check out a new smart ring! This and more in today’s Tech Talk…

== Facebook sympathy button ==
For a long time now Facebook users have expressed their desire for a “hate” button (or something of the sorts) to go along with the “like” button. Finally, the next best thing could be on the way. A developer told the Huffington Post that the social network is playing around with the idea of a “sympathize” button, since sometimes the “like” button just isn’t appropriate. For instance, if someone posts a sad status update, the “like” button would change to a “sympathy” button. There’s no word on if or when this would launch. (AKA -- Don’t hold your breath.)

== Leash Plus ==
Check out this unique $21 stocking stuffer for the extreme dog lover. Leash Plus has a pop-up water bowl, storage bin for food or treats, baggie receptacle with waste bags included, LED safety flashlight, LCD clock with date and time, and a locking button for the 16 foot retractable leash. (Update: as of Dec. 9 the item is currently out of stock.)

== Smarty Ring ==
Can’t live without your phone? Is the smart watch not quite exotic enough for you? What about a smart ring – for your finger? The makers of the ‘Smarty Ring” are currently raising money on indiegogo.com to make this a reality. Like other smart devices, it links up with your smartphone to alert you to text messages, incoming calls, etc. You can also use it to control your camera and accept or reject calls. If it comes out, the retail price is expected to be $275, but if you get involved during the investment period you can get it for a little less.
