Personally, I'd like to see the dew point a little lower and the surface temps a little lower than they are now to convince me that the Houston metro area will see snow. In any case here's the way the forecast stands this morning. Northern counties are under a winter storm warning and I do expect to see widespread 2" snow totals with isolated 4"-6" totals.
Central counties are under a winter storm advisory. I expect to see a cold rain in Sugar Land, Houston and Liberty from noon until about 4-5pm. Then from 6:pm to midnight these areas may see sleet and snow accumulations up to 1/2".
