One of the best community events of the holiday season happens Saturday night at 6 pm.  That's when an armada of 100 sail boats and power boats decked out for the holidays cruises through Clear Lake and into Galveston Bay.  The League City's 50th annual Christmas Lane Boat Parade should draw and estimated 100,000 to the area to see the spectacular sight.

The weather should cooperate with partly cloudy skies when people gather around 5 pm.  By the time the boats get going, it'll be a cool 50° but the cloud cover should begin to thicken a bit.  Rain should hold off, but as things wrap up, there is a slight chance of a passing sprinkle.

In general, our weekend should be fairly mild in the day time and cool at night with more clouds Sunday than Saturday.  I'm tracking low pressure in extreme south Texas which will drag rain into the Hill Country this weekend.  However, that rain stays to our west through the beginning of next week until a cold front moving in from the Pacific nudges the rain closer to us by mid-week.

So, good weather for shopping, prepping for the holidays or enjoying the boat parade.  Enjoy!
