Whether you're headed down to Galveston for the Lone Star Rally, up to the Renaissance Festival or over to the Texans' game at Reliant, you should know that our weather will change this weekend.  For one thing, it won't be as chilly as it has been the past few mornings.  Also, we'll see more clouds Sunday compared to Saturday and I can't rule out a few spotty showers Sunday either, but most will stay dry.  Here are some specifics to help you plan:

Whether the roof is open or closed at Reliant will likely be a game-time decision.  The Texans operate with the roof open if the temperature is between 50° and 80°, so it'll be close.

Also, signs are pointing to the likelihood of severe weather rolling through here next Tuesday, just in time for Election Day.  The exact timing is uncertain now, but the afternoon and evening could see the lion's share of strong storms that could produce damaging wind, hail and even isolated tornadoes.  Stay tuned all weekend and especially Monday as the scenario becomes clearer.
