Rain chances go bye-bye for the weekend and into early next week. Thank goodness we got the rain we did on Wed or we'd be in REALLY big trouble with fires. That being said, we will slowly dry out and the winds will pick up and be gusty out of the east southeast Sunday through Thursday of next week.
That wind has a lot to do with what may develop in the southern Gulf of Mexico early next week. Computer models (GFS, Canadian, UKMET) show low pressure forming and drifting either toward Mexico or deep south Texas. We'll be watching this possibility closely.
