We've had a break in the rain overnight in the Houston area. Rain chances will increase as we head toward lunchtime and I expect some heavy downpours this afternoon. For the moment the Flash Flood Watch has been allowed to expire. However, rain bands in Colorado, Austin, Wharton and Jackson counties are slowly moving toward Katy and the Houston area and it would not surprise me to see flood watches or urban flood advisories issued later in the day.
