Hurricane season is going into high gear again this week with Igor possibly strengthening to a category five by Monday. We are now following at least three distinct tropical systems in the Atlantic. Whats next is Hurricane Igor in the tropical Atlantic following in the foot steps of Hurricane Earl. Most of the reliable hurricane models call for Igor to turn more Northwesterly as steering currents become more Southwesterly across the Western Atlantic this week.
Igor Statistics . . .
A tropical disturbance could impact our weather if it continues to track into the Bay of Camphece, Mexico this week. Right now the tropical disturbance remains somewhat disorganized with no center of circulation. We will monitor its progress across the Caribbean this week never the less as it could impact our weather like Hermine did last week.
