From festivals to football, this October weekend in Houston is chock full of options. Saturday begins warm with a continuation of the summer-like weather we've seen the past few days. However, a cool front is poised to move through late Sunday, bringing with it some rain and a brief break from the heat and humidity.
So, if you're headed to the Italian Festival at St. Thomas University, or the Bayou City Arts Festival downtown in front of City Hall, Saturday will likely be the drier of the two days. But it will be warm, humid and rather breezy. If you go early to either event Sunday, you will likely avoid the rain, but showers are expected by mid-afternoon:

The rain and cooler weather will move in from the north, so that could make Sunday, cloudier and wetter for the Renaissance Festival up in Plantersville:

On Sunday night, all eyes will turn to Reliant Stadium for the Sunday Night football match up between our Texans and the cheese heads from Wisconsin - the Green Bay Packers. Tailgaters and fans heading to the game should prepare for some rain. It won't be a lot, but it could help keep the roof closed:

Whatever you've got planned, I hope you have a great weekend. There is another cool front expected to arrive early Thursday that should bring back a fall feel.
