Tropical Storm Isaac has weakened a bit these last 24 hours.

The center of circulation has moved off shore northwest of Haiti. By late morning, new recon flights confirmed that the central pressures were up to 998mb (29.47"). As the storm moves west today it will encounter southwesterly wind shear. This will continue until early Sunday morning.

Some slow strengthening is expected late in the weekend as the low pressure trough lifts. Find out when Isaac turns into a hurricane on my KHOU.com Weather Blog.
