Another round of tornadic cells swept through the southern gulf coast region. The result was 10 fatalities and millions of dollars in property damage. Almost 50 tornadoes dropped out of the sky Saturday. The worst around Yazoo City in Mississippi where homes and businesses where flattened by the killer tornadoes. The risk of severe weather is moderate from Tennessee to Georgia to Alabama until 7am Sunday morning.

High pressure returns to the gulf coast area along with lighter wind for boaters. The low humidity we saw Saturday afternoon and those mid 80 degree temperatures  also stick around. By Tuesday a weak dry cool front will push through reinforcing those upper 50 degree nights until Wednesday morning.

Onshore breezes return Monday as low pressure and a weak cool front develops in the panhandle. Rain chances are only slight due to a very dry atmosphere. A blocking ridge of high pressure will insure more dry April days until Friday and the early part of the weekend. Have a great weekend and look for more weather updates on the severe weather in the eastern gulf coast region Sunday on eleven news at 5:30 and 10pm.
