Not only was March the wettest month so far this year, but also the 4Th warmest on record. Near record highs will likely get quenched by some April showers for the first half of the work week. The biggest weather maker will be an upper level disturbance that moves just North of Houston Tuesday. That puts our rain chances at just 50/50 by Tuesday.
Preceding the main disturbance will be a series of minor disturbances Monday that will trigger a few isolated storms Monday East and North of the metro area. Rain amounts will generally be below a .25" Monday. Temperatures will continue to be unseasonably warm for April with highs in the low 80s all week. The overnights will get tweaked by a weak cold front Wednesday pushing sunshine in for the second half of the week.
