HOUSTON--Rain showers lead the weather forecast through this upcoming week. A healthy supply of available tropical moisture along with another weak disturbance is all we'll need to get rain started first near shore and then inland through the afternoon.
The odds for rain for the first 48 hours will be at least 60% and slowly dropp off as the atmosphere wrings out the moisture by the end of the week.
A slow moving cool front also moves in to help more stormy weather build locally around Tuesday. The best news about the week is all the cooling brought on by the rain with high temperatures not much above the mid 80s through Tuesday.
Rainfall amounts will vary, with average amounts ranging from .25" to .50" with some isolated 1" - 3" rainfall amounts also around southeast Texas. You can track it all on KHOU.com's doppler radar.
