The chill is back for the next several days as an arctic air mass moves into the state. This frigid air has already reached the Texas panhandle and will move into town Tuesday night. The coldest air of the season will likely cause plumbing and outdoor irrigation lines to fail unless they are properly wrapped. The vulnerable zones are North of interstate ten since temperatures will likely be below freezing for close to twelve hours from Tuesday night through Wednesday morning.
As the temperatures fall your old furnace may not be able to keep up with the extra cold weather. If your using space heaters make sure they are in good working order and keep them away from drapes and small children. Stay warm and safe this week from the 11 weather team.
