Here's the latest on TS Beryl from the National Hurricane Center. After a recent hurricane hunter recon mission this afternoon, it was determined that Beryl has picked up a little strength. Central pressure is now down to 998mb and wind has picked up to 50mph with higher wind gust.
The storm continues to move southwest at 7mph and is about 250 miles East of Jacksonville, Florida. Heavy rain approaching 3"- 6" as well as coastal flooding will be the biggest impact along the southeast coast during the end of the holiday weekend. The best news is that the rain will bring some drought relief and a much needed break to fire fighters battling grass fires in central Florida.
