A cold front will bring a good chance for rain and strong thunderstorms across southeast Texas today. The strongest thunderstorms are moving into Waller, Montgomery, Walker and Harris counties now (10:15 am) and will reach the downtown area around noon.
Expect dangerous lightening and strong winds with heavy rain as the storms move toward the east-southeast. The front and thunderstorms will move into the coastal counties this afternoon with more than an inch of rain possible. Strongest storms and the front should push off the coast late this afternoon but light rain and a gusty north wind will come in behind the front.
