A cold front moves in this evening with a few showers trailing ahead as you see in the super microcast forecast. for Monday afternoon. The odds of rainfall in Houston are 40% today with a slight chance of some spotty severe storms to the North and Northeast  later today. By tonight the Northerly airflow starts the drying process with colder air moving in.

Another chance for some frost near Houston by Wednesday morning as a high pressure ridge sets up over the. The best chances for freezing temperatures will be just North and West of the interstate 10 region. Expect a slow moderating trend in the readings after midweek with highs in the 70s by the weekend. Don't get too use to the milder weekend temperatures, another blast of cold arctic air is set to move into the state after the weekend.
