It may not be much, but a few more showers Monday could be just enough to make April another normal month when it comes to rainfall. This makes April the 6Th month in a row with normal rainfall. The return of this wet weather pattern has effectively taken Houston and all of Harris county out of the drought. April however has been the driest month of the last 6 months and may be a trend we see for the rest of the Summer season.
The best odds for rain will be just west and north of the metro area as an upper level disturbance swings through the area Monday. The coastal communities will see denser clouds and slightly cooler daytime readings than we had this weekend. Rain chances will range from 20% to 30% Monday. Cities like Brenham, Roundtop and Navasota will have the best chances of receiving measurable rain.
