We are starting warm for 2012. If you take the daily average from our high and low temperature and then the average every day since January 1st, Houston, Galveston and College Station all break records for having the warmest average temperature on record ever. Some of the records date back about one hundred and twenty years.
Compared to years past, our average temperature is just a bit warmer. A lot of this has to due with our mild winter and the mild overnight lows that we've seen for the start of 2012.
