Thanks to a cold front blowing through overnight, our early taste of Spring gives way to what I like to call "Rodeo Weather" just as the trail riders arrive. The front won't bring much rain, but it will drop temperatures through the weekend and Friday will be especially windy. So much so that the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory and a Red Flag Warning.
The Wind Advisory means that winds through the day will be steady form 20-25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Definitely not a good hair day and since it's Go Texan Friday, you'll want to hold onto that cowboy hat. Also, secure your trash cans if Friday is your pick-up day because they could tumble down the street. The Red Flag Warning means that it will be dry and windy enough for fire to spread, despite the recent rains.
Temperatures will fall into the low 50s Friday morning and will struggle to get above 60 so a jacket is in order. The change in the weather makes it easier for young children to catch cold, so make sure they're dressed warmly.
