It's late July and we are fast approaching the hottest time of year again. By now, you knew it wouldn't be long before the 100s returned.
Our 7-day forecast is bringing back the century mark for many parts of the state. The weekend's high temperatures in southeast Texas will also range in the mid to upper 90s. By Sunday afternoon, areas northwest of Houston will be near the triple digits for the first time in July.
Heat Index values will surpass 105 for all of the KHOU-11 viewing area due to the high moisture content of the atmosphere. Stay hydrated, wear sunscreen and loose light colored clothing to beat the heat.
