The remnants of Nicole will not likely redevelop since the center will likely be absorbed by a low pressure system developing along a front near the East coast. Wind shear ahead of the front was most likely the storm killer Wednesday afternoon. What's left of Nicole is stretched out from the Caymans to Cuba to the Eastern seaboard. The tropical islands will pick up 6 - 10 inches of badly need rain over the next 48 hrs. The Delmarva peninsula will likely pick up 6 - 8 inches of rain. Over the weekend the moisture from Nicole could leave 4- 6 inches of rain along the New England coastal communities.
While the East gets soaked, Houston will likely get treated to yet another series of cold fronts that should sustain this Fall-like weather pattern for several more days. The next cold front slides in Friday evening returning our readings to just below normal for most of the weekend.
