Tropical storm Danielle formed Sunday afternoon with minimal tropical storms winds at 40mph. The storm is taking a Northwest track at just over 10mph. Conditions will continue improve for additional strengthening over the next 48 hours.
In warmer waters with good drafting aloft and a very weak shearing environment Danielle is forecast to become a category two hurricane by Friday. A trough of low pressure is forecast to drift into the Eastern portion of the United States allowing a continue re-curvature to the North-Northwest by the end of the week. The storm should remain off the Eastern seaboard and out at sea all week. Large swells and rough seas may impact portions of New England by this weekend.
The white colored track is the official National Hurricane track. As you can see it is just West of most of the reliable hurricane models.
