The KHOU-11 Viper Radar started to light up late this afternoon. A few thunderstorms with some heavy rain and small hail will continue for the early part of the evening. Rainfall amounts could range from .50" to 1.0" as these storms grow over the metro area.
This pattern could repeat again Friday afternoon as an upper low tracks southeast towards the upper gulf coast area. A few showers will also linger Saturday although rainfall amounts will start to fall off just a bit. Temperatures will definitely take a tumble as the rain makes it's appearance during max heating Friday. Stay connected with KHOU-11 or KHOU.com as we continue to track the storms.
