Hope this rainy Monday didn't get you down. Check out the totals from some of our WeatherBug gauges above. We certainly needed the rain and it came without the damaging winds or flooding we've seen in earlier episodes this year. Bush airport recorded nearly 1/2" boosting the surplus for the year to nearly 3 and a half. It's just more good news as we continue to recover from last year's staggering drought.
Closer to town, heavier amounts were recorded:
The disturbance that brought today's rain moved through quickly, which is why there wasn't more than some ponding of roadways and no flooding.
Temperatures will warm into the 70s tomorrow and Wednesday, which is when the round of rain arrives. Those warmer temperatures may cause storms that develop to pack more of a punch, so stay tuned.
