Historical flooding is taking place along Cypress Creek in northwest Harris County this week.
The water crested overnight and is expected to be just above flood stage Sunday morning. This forecast assumes we do not add any additional rain water to the water shed this weekend. Spring Creek in northern Harris County also had 10"- 12" of rain in its water shed and it should also continue to recede overnight.
Please stay vigilante if you live near these creeks because the forecast is calling for a 50-percent chance of scattered thundershowers today and tomorrow.
KHOU.com will provide you with the latest neighborhood radars to track these flooding downpours all weekend. News coverage begins today at 6:00pm and 10:00pm on KHOU-11.
