Wednesdays rain dumped a wide area of 1.5"-2" of rain right in the Lake Conroe watershed. The lake is reacting and rising slowly but surely. In November the lake bottomed out at 192.8'. November and December rains helped the lake recover to 193.1' in December and Wednesdays rains have the lake rising to 194.2' as of Thursday noon. I expect the lake will rise at least another inch or three on Friday as runoff continues to flow in. Normal full pool level is 201' so the lake is still WAY low, but at least its rising.
