Friday could be our warmest day this week as a high pressure ridge slips West by the weekend. That would open the door for tropical moisture to swoop into town by Sunday morning giving us our best bet for some rain since we got soaked by tropical depression #2.
The upper level low in the Eastern Gulf should track to the Southwest over the weekend, The low will destabilize the air and storms will chop up the seas a bit by Sunday afternoon. Oil recovery efforts over the weekend will be complicated by stormy weather.
Sunday emerges as our best bet for rain in the near future. So make your outdoor plans for the early part of the weekend and stay tune to channel 11 for the latest weather.
