Looks like we are going to have to endure another steamy afternoon. Near record heat is likely again for Galveston with readings just a few weeks ahead of the typical 80 degrees we see in May.
The rest of the state also starts a run at 90 degrees especially the lower Rio Grande valley and much of the interior West and North. Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio will all be near or just above 90 Sunday afternoon.
We won't have to wait too long for rain to make a comeback. An upper level low drifts out of the Rockies Monday pulling tropical moisture and rain chances back up for Monday and Tuesday.
