Happy Thanksgiving from the entire Weather Team at KHOU 11 News! Here are a couple of forecasts for things you may be doing on Turkey Day and beyond. First, join us downtown for the annual Holiday Parade starting at 9 am (but get there early to avoid the traffic snarls due to closed streets). Dress warmly, too because it'll be in the upper 40s and low 50s when the parade starts. But sitting outside in the cold weather means you'll need to layer up and even bring a blanket.
We'll warm up into the mid 70s by the afternoon with a few high clouds showing up, but nothing to worry about and a cool east breeze. If you're headed to College Station for the final tilt between the Longhorns and the Aggies, dress warmly too because it'll be in the 60s. With a steady breeze, you'll want to stay warm in the stands at night. Clouds will gradually increase during the game.
Black Friday shoppers will find it cool, but not as cold as Thanksgiving morning. Clouds will increase through the day, but rain should hold off until Saturday.
