A moist tropical air mass combined with August heat continues its grip on Southeast Texas Sunday. A heat advisory continues for a fifth day in a row. Heat Index values will once again reach the 104-109 degree range. Make sure to take frequent breaks and drink plenty of water if your going to tackle the outdoors Sunday afternoon. The heat advisory may continue Monday unless the heat index drops below 105 degrees.
An upper low pressure system continues to enhance rain chances Sunday, especially along the immediate coast Sunday morning. The storms should progress inland along the sea breeze during the afternoon. Only isolated storms will form and diminish as the low drifts inland by Monday.
