Light winds and cool temps greet firefighters this Wednesday morning. Winds will stay light out of the northeast until afternoon when they will peak at 10-15mph. Winds will die down quickly after sunset. Same score Friday with lows in the 50's and light winds.
An area of disturbed weather looks to be forming in the far southern Gulf of Mexico. The hurricane center gives it a 60% chance of development. Early model guidance takes the system to the central gulf coast (Louisiana, Mississippi) by Monday. Other models keep it in the southern gulf or into Mexico during the weekend. We'll be watching this system very carefully over the coming days.
