We waited, and waited, but the storms forming along a cold front to our north and west didn't hold together and fell apart before getting anywhere near Southeast Texas. The front is still expected to limp across our part of the state, but because it is so weak, don't expect a much cooler start to Saturday. In fact, there could be quite a bit of fog to kick off the Memorial Park Conservancy Fun Run Saturday morning:
The fog lifts by mid-morning and southeast winds return swiftly to warm us up into the 70s. Fans heading to the second Astros vs. the Blue Jays exhibition game at Minute Maid may be able to enjoy an open roof. Here's a first pitch forecast:
The tail end of the front then returns back toward us Easter Sunday, which will mean low clouds, fog and drizzle return and there could be occasional showers into the afternoon. So if you're headed out for sunrise services, an umbrella could be a must and egg hunts might need to be moved indoors:
Whatever the weather, I wish you and yours joy this holiday season!
