A dense fog advisory is still in effect for Galveston, Chambers and Brazoria counties until midnight, but a cool front sweeping across Texas will finally clear the skies and cool us off heading into the last weekend of winter. As that front pushes into our part of Texas, a few showers could break out primarily north of Beltway 8 into Montgomery, Walker, Grimes and San Jacinto counties. But those brief, passing showers should quit by midnight.
Behind that front, dry and cool air that will lead to some crisp, cool mornings, but mild afternoons and plenty of sunshine. Lows will be in the low to mid 40s and daytime highs will climb from the upper 60s on Friday into the upper 70s in Sunday. Rain may not return until possibly Tuesday. If you're headed to South Texas for Spring Break, expect some really nice weather this weekend, but showers creep in down there for the beginning of the week. After Wednesday, though, great weather returns. Before you get in the water, be prepared for a chill. Gulf temperatures are only in the mid to upper 60s.
