After some near record warmth today a December chill will set in for quite awhile. The highs today almost reached the record of 82 set back in 1998. A year ago today snow fell around the Houston-Galveston area. We won't see snow with the next Canadian front but temperatures will be almost 20 degrees colder than Saturday's highs.
THIS WEEKEND'S TEMPERATURE PROFILE . . .
A chance of light frost does appear again North of the I-59 region for at least three days in a row. Winter weather preparations are a good idea if you live in that area of Southeast Texas. Bring in or cover any tender vegetation and make sure pets and livestock have plenty of water and feed to ride out the chilly nights ahead. The cold weather will hang around awhile if the jet stream forecast for next week stays on track. . .
Have a wonderful weekend and join us for the latest update on the December chill tonight on the late news !
