A strong cold front is pushing into north Texas this Monday morning. Temps are dropping into the 40's in Amarillo and they will have lows in the mid 30's in the panhandle tonight. We will stay very warm and humid today but Tuesday will be a different story.
I expect the cold front to pas through downtown Houston around 9:am Tuesday morning and off the coast before noon. A gusty north wind will make for a high fire danger day with relative humidity values plunging into the 30%-20% range. We wil still make the 70's for highs on Tuesday but things will cool off rapidly Tuesday evening.
I expect lows in the lower 40's Wednesday morning and mid to upper 40's Thursday and Friday mornings with highs in the low 70's. Welcome Fall!
