A couple of tropical disturbances are flaring up with just a few more weeks left in the hurricane season. Warm tropical waters and low wind shear point towards intensification of this disturbance over the next 48 hours. Initially reliable hurricane models show a westerly motion followed a looping turn to the NNE by midweek. A deeper trough of low pressure pushes into the nation late in the week. This accounts for the steering currents that could eventually drag this tropical cyclone more to the NNE next week. Either way the central Caribbean nations and the Bahamas will get some heavy flooding tropical downpours.
