It has always seemed weird to me that it takes until spring for the oak tree in my front yard to shed its leaves. Right now it looks like fall in my front yard, covered with leaves. A closer look at the tree however reveals the problem... its flowering and dumping Oak pollen all over the place and it's this pollen explosion that is sending so many people to the medicine cabinet and their doctor for relief.
The Oak pollen count is forecast to stay heavy for at least another week or two. I've found that simply washing the pollen off my face and hands with cold water can help. Also, for me, a hot cup of coffee seems to give me some relief.
