Yep, it's possible the northern half of the area (along and north of I-10) could get a strong thunderstorm late this afternoon. A weak cold front will be sagging in from the north and should stall out around the Huntsville area. This could be the trigger we need to get some rain going.
There is a slight severe threat with these storms. CAPE values indicate 2000-3000j/kg available with an 'inverted-V' profile. This means strong down burst winds will be the biggest threat from the storms, along with lightening that could spark more wildfires. Could be an interesting afternoon...
