Scattered showers over the past week may have to go along way. That's because hot dry weather is coming back this week. Any rain at all will be light in nature on Tuesday or Wednesday as a weak upper level disturbance drifts North of the Southeast Texas. High pressure pulls up over most of the lone star state next week with highs above average into the mid 90s and lows in the low to upper 70s.
Grass fires in the Chambers county area sparked by lightning will continue next week with most of the smoke fanning out North towards E. Harris county and Liberty county. Hazy smoke will settle into some communities mainly in the morning hours and break up as the wind increases during the day. If your sensitive to smoke or have a respiratory illness please stay indoors, especially early in the day. KHOU.com and KHOU-11 will stay on top of this story and bring you the latest, since this grass fire may continue for several more days.
