August heat just got dangerous with the first heat advisory of the year for the gulf coast area. The advisory will likely continue until Tuesday, since there will be very little change in the weather pattern. Today's highs of the upper 90s combined with humidity will make it feel like 105-110 degrees this afternoon. Please stay hydrated, take frequent breaks, stay in the shade and wear sunscreen.
