Its a busy New Years Eve weather wise. Thick fog blankets the area this morning with visibility down to just 100 feet or so at times. The fog should lift between 9:am and 10:am. A little sun mixing with a mostly cloudy sky and warmer temps during the day with highs in the mid to upper 60's.

However, a cold front is on the way and will push through downtown Houston around 6:pm. There will be some rain showers with the front but should follow the front offshore by 10:pm. Expect a gusty north wind and temps dropping into the lower 40's by midnight with lows in the mid to upper 30's New Years morning. Sunny and highs in the 50's New Years Day.
