Marathon runners delight in light winds, low humidity and cool temperatures to run in. That's just what Houston has to offer up for this weekend's race. A little ground fog may pop up at the beginning of the race, but this weather should make for some great finish times considering how light the winds will be.
The weekend will also bring high water to the Guadalupe River near Victoria. The river should crest above 20 feet through Monday. Rainfall estimates have been near 10 inches in Matagorda county with plenty of runoff expected along the water shed of the Guadalupe. More rain will only aggravate the flooding potential Saturday morning with the storm finally exiting the state Saturday evening.
