HOUSTON—Frigid weather conditions affected the heat at area schools Friday.
Austin Parkway Elementary in Fort Bend ISD had problems with its heating system, but school officials said the situation was under control. Students were moved to a section of the building where the classrooms were warmer.
Lee High School in southwest Houston reported that two classrooms were without heat, but they have since fixed that problem. Witnesses said it was so cold, that even the teachers were wearing gloves.
