I'm becoming concerned about how low the temps may go tonight. This is because temps in the wake of this morning front were supposed to hold in the upper 30's and low 40's through mid day and that is not what is happening. Temps are now at or below freezing from the northwest side of the beltway and beyond and near freezing in mid-town. Colder than we forecast.
The wind continues to blow at 20-30mph with gusts to 40mph pulling in more cold air from north Texas where 1"-6" of snow fell overnight. Low temps tonight will be in the mid to upper teens in the northern third of counties.... low to mid 20's in the central counties and mid to upper 20's all the way to the coast. Warning... these temps forecasts may need to be adjusted lower.
Snow is in the forecast for southeast Texas beginning Thursday night through Friday. Some of the computer models suggest that several inches may accumulate and travel may become very dangerous. Stay tuned!
