Cold Start To 2010

Houston has seen a relatively cool and wet December. Average high temperatures where 58 degrees with the normal high at 65. December rainfall has been 4.65"inches so far almost one inc he above the average of 3.69". The area also experienced it"s earliest snowfall on record on December 4TH. Although December started out cool it will end on a warm note with highs in the upper 60s.If your headed out to party New Years Eve grab a warm jacket because temperatures are set to move into the mid 40S as the clock strikes midnight. Add a brisk northerly wind and the wind chill will likely be in the 30s as you party the night away. Have a warm and prosperous new year from the 11 News Weather Department.
