It seems like the state of Texas cannot get enough winter weather this year.A second winter storm this holiday season will enter West Texas tonight and bring 2 - 4 inches of snow to the northern end of the state. Some areas north of a line from Brenham to Huntsville to Livingston could get a winter mix of sleet and snow Tuesday morning. Houston will see just a cold rain with temperatures in the mid 30s Tuesday morning and highs only in the mid 40s by the afternoon. The New Year’s outlook is for lows in the 30s and highs in the 50s with plenty of sunshine to start 2010. If you’re traveling to North Texas Tuesday, watch for slippery roads especially in the Dallas- Fort Worth area much like Christmas Eve. It appears Houston will miss the snow storm yet again with most of frozen precipitation just to the North.
