New Years day brings plenty of sunshine and cooler than average temperatures. The high pressure system over Texas today slides East for some relief from wind. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50S today. Chilly low to mid 30 degree numbers move in tonight with a brisk weekend ahead. A North to South alignment of the jet stream next week could bring a rain/snow mix back into the area mid- week. The arctic air slides in Wednesday evening and could tap into an upper level disturbance to bring our area a second chance of snow in the past few weeks. Keep your fingers crossed kids its going to be a close one.
