Wet Memorial Day Weekend

Floridians are going to share this holiday weekend.

The broad upper low that has been drenching Florida for the last 5 days is on the
move and the its heading for Louisiana. The system is too broad to become a tropical
or subtropical storm but heavy rain will still impact a large part of the central Gulf
coast area. While the Daytona beach area has seen as much as 16 inches of rain
this week, Houston won't see quite that move since the Low is on the move. A maximum
of one half to an inch is possible in some areas as the storms come in as bands
from the center of rotation near Louisiana on Saturday. By Sunday the center of the
Upper low drifts into the Arkansa/Louisiana area with rain still impacting our holiday
